Are timber windows expensive?

Timber windows and doors are not, on the face of it, the cheapset option and may cost up to three times the price of PVCu frames. As a rough guide, replacing all windows and doors in a property often works out to cost the equivalent of 5% of the property’s retail value. When you consider that, as a general rule, more than 25% of a building’s external fabric comprises windows, these costings are very favourable.

You must also bear in mind that timber replacement windows and doors that combine style, performance, security and durability will undoubtedly add value to your home. It has proven very likely that the value of your property will increase over and above the cost of having your timber windows and doors installed.

Who will install the windows for me?

Our products are installed through a network of Authorised Partners. Each Encompass installer employs experienced craftsmen who have been comprehensively trained by Encompass in the installation of our products.

Are timber windows safe and secure?

All Encompass windows are manufactured with the MACO RAIL hardware system and we are members of the Secured by Design scheme whose products have been awarded the 'Police Preferred Specification' status.

For additional pece of mind, you can register you're windows with the MACO RAIL system. MACO are so confident in the security performance of the RAIL system that they will guarantee your windows against forced entry through failure of the hardware. In the unlikely event of a successful forced entry, MACO will repay your insurance excess in full, up to the value of £500.
